The STEP UP Program

  • The goals of the Step Up program are to:
    • give you the ability to recognize events where they should step up
    • give you the skills to effectively intervene
  • Active bystanders recognize emergency situations (sexual assault, alcohol abuse, safety) and non-emergency situations (noticing a friend is depressed, gambling, academic problems) and have the skills to intervene directly or indirectly.

Step UP is a joint initiative of The Aurora Center for Advocacy & Education, Boynton Health Service, Office for Student Affairs, Housing & Residential Life, Student-Athlete Affairs, Fraternity & Sorority Life, and Orientation & First-Year Programs.
